the bike has everything i want, it is a cannondale Rush 5 with a full suspension and a lefty fork. it is only $1200 the cheapest in the state, if you were to get a hardtail that would be another $300 .the bike is a 2007.i want to get this to replace my 2005 trek 3900 which is a safety hazard to ride, whenever you are pedeling the chain always gets tied up in the pedels and you dont know when it is going to happen. Also it would be payed off by november which is just half of a year away, so it is not like i am losing that much money. My mom says she wont let me get it because i will be buying a car in 3 years and she thinks it would be a waste. but i disagree because i will be going to college just 1 year after i get my car and my license, and with gas surley being at least $7 dolars a gallon i will be riding my bike around campus to save money and get an exercise. my mom says if i was a little younger like 8-10 she would let me get it, but who would trust an 8 year old with a $1200 bike

  1. What do you mean when you say "Also it would be payed off by november which is just half of a year away, so it is not like i am losing that much money"?

Well, whether you are paying for it or your parents are paying my answer would be the same:  Do you compete? If you're just riding around, there is no reason for a 13 year old to have such an expensive bike.  If you do compete then you probably wouldn't have a problem convincing your parents to let you have the bike (you'd probably have one that is more expensive).

  2. OK, why buy such and expensive bike if your not competing, like he said. plus you can get nice mountain bikes for 750$ and if your 13, then you want a street bmx bike.....just saying they are way more cheap and a lot more light, unless you go mountain biking or compete then there is no point.

  3. you've asked everyday for the last week! no! treat the bike you have with a little more respect. then we can talk!

  4. idk sounds like a waste u are driving in 3 years, you dont need to get a 1200 dollar bike just like 500 dollars when it breaks dont come cryingto your parents to get u another

  5. Get it.  You want it right?  and if you can pay for it yourself then what's the big deal.

The payment idea sounds sketchy.  YOu might want to have all of the money to pay up front.  Payments suck

  6. No, when kids nag, it'll never happen.

  7. Do you need such a bike?
