Would you let you 12 y/o daughter wear this for a party?

I have twin(girl/boy) 12 y/o's and their birthday party is in a month. The theme is a simple blue theme. The girls all have to wear blue summer dresses and the guys just have to wear blue. It's just something both my kids agreed on, so which dress would you let her buy?

I would pick the second (striped) dress.  I couldn't tell much difference between the two boy outfits.  I'd get the least expensive of the two.

The first dress is cuter but the second one is more appropriate for a 12 year old.

I love the first ones for both... they are nice.. but not to dressy... you cant go wrong with either choice though!

and yes the outfits are similar but the abercrombie shirt is slightly darker as well as the shorts.

I love the second girl dress. (but then again, I'm huge on stripes and not a huge fan of florals.) Both are age appropriate, but the big pockets on the second one are cute, and the stripes are adorable. Plus, during the school year, it can be worn well on top of a short or long sleeve top, with a sweater over it, and/or leggings, and it can be worn throughout the year, as floral prints will get old during the year, and the style makes it an odd piece to layer with. For the boy, the two outfits are practically identical. Personally, I like the Abercrombie shirt, but I like the hollister shorts. I think if you want your kids to match, I'd go with the Abercrombie for the boy, simply because the darker shirt goes with the darker color of blue in either dress. Happy Birthday to your kids!!

For the girl I love both dresses. The first is a bit more revealing, but its adorable. For the boy they both look a lot alike, but I like the first choice the best. I think all of the choices are really nice. Good luck with the party!!

I really wouldn't recommend having your kids wear these outfits.  They are intended for the 15-18 year old crowd.  Be careful!

Well for the girl I have to say I like the first one a lot more.

For the boy the first combination (both from Hollister) is better but either shirt is good really, its just the 2nd pair of shorts I don't like. They're too casual for a party.

So those are my picks: first girl dress, first pair of boy shorts with 2nd shirt.

Girl: i love both of the dresses but i think stripes are a bit plain.

guy: the shirts are pretty much the same but if you want more of the beach look go for the Hollister outfit. if you want more of a formal attire go with the abercrombie one.
