  1. Well looks are irrelevant, but being poor would be a problem. Having a lower income 30-50k...no problem. Less than 30k wouldn't support a family properly in the cheapest places. So considering my daughter at 3yrs8months old has a concept of budgeting and finances, she wouldn't date someone that couldn't manage a bank account(most likely). Looks don't matter.

I can say that I personally would hate to be "rich", and I do not have any desire for my kids to be "rich". I feel too much money, makes a negative impact on people. There is no way I'd ever want my kids making under 30k or over 200k/yr by todays standards.....of course 20 years from now the 30k will be equivalent to around 50-75k/yr, so of I am basing this on todays living standards. We are doing beautifully as a family of 4 and soon to be 5 on my husbands 700-800/week income. Mtg,car, all bills...still have plent left over. Money isn't everything if you make wise financial choices and know where to put the savings. I will also teach my kids not to date people will poor credit! It shows a person is irresponsible, and if they aren't reliable to keep decent credit, they won't be reliable to consider having a life with.

  2. Why would I be such a control freak that I'd need to dicate an adult child's life? I hope my kids have enough backbone to make their own choices at 18.

Speaking of issues, get over yourself. Work on the self-esteem and liking yourself. If you are neat and clean, alot of girls don't care about looks. We want someone who treats us well, not who is movie star cute. Poor is in your own hands. Work hard at your job and your skills will be rewarded with a promotion.

  3. No, I'm sure you're not that bad. She might fall in love with you then what? I can't stop her from seeing you because then I'd lose her as a daughter, not worth it if she's happy!

  4. You may think your ugly down to low self esteem, there is someone for eveyone out there, my friend date people who I think are ugly and I have had boyfriends who my friends think are ugly! Its a case of each to there own it sound s like you just need a confidence boost!!! As for the poor bit I know many people who are poor and live extremly happy lives xxxx

  5. When my daughter turns 18, she will not need my permission as to whom she dates.

If the only issue with this guy is is looks and wallet size, I'd say he sounds like a good person.

  6. I'm 18 and I don't think my parents would judge; like I've dated guys who were a lot less off than we were and they didn't judge. One of the guys broke up with me becasuse I'm going to college and well that just pissed everybody off. Personally, they'd like someone who is a virgin and you may think your ugly but I doubt it. I think as long as you respect a young woman, most people would not have a problem with you.

  7. a lot of people dont judge others by looks or what money they have. if it is a concern then i would not stress over it too much.

  8. Go to school, get a job, and change your personality. You are too selfish to find a girlfriend. It's okey for a hot guy to be somewhat selfish but an ugly guy who is both selfish and horny will remain single and lonely. If you are willing to invest the 5-6 years that it will take to accomplish your goal, then you have a chance.

  9. I think perhaps you should have more self confidence. If I had a daughter, I'd teach her to be more concerned about the inside than the outside. And if someone doesn't want to date you because you're poor, you're much better off without that kind of girl. Good luck!

  10. that's her buisness.  she's a grown *** woman at 18.  don't matter what you look like and how much money you're making (just as long as you're not mooching or causing trouble), if that's my daughter's choice, then the only thing I can do is stand by it.
