you and their stepdad to this song? We are having a very informal ceremony at a local campground when we get married and want our neighbor to play and sing this song.....

  1. I would let my children walk with their new step dad to this song. I honestly don't think their dad would have a problem with it. I mean he may but they are your children too.


  2. No. I do not understand why he would have a problem with it.... you both are not together anymore. If that is what you want played then have it played. it is your ceremony.

  3. This marriage is with you and your new husband.  It doesn't alter your relationship with your children.  In your new relationship your children are also part of the equation.  

    This song is not about your children's biological Dad, it is about the love you and your partner feel for each other.  Children always thrive under a loving relationship.  

    Do not be concerned, it is a lovely song; I am so happy for you finding your true love, walk with your partner and your kids, head held high in happiness and contentment.
