My friend's parents are moving 10 hours away and letting her live with her best friend for 3 years and are paying them to take care of her and everything. Would you let your 15 year old daughter move in with her best friend while your 10 hours away?

  1. If you and your daughter is ok with it way not. 3 years if you make her go wow your really strong.

    Good Luck!

  2. No, Families stay together.

  3. No, but I would let her call, and e-mail her often.  also during school breaks i would let her go visit her friend, and have her friend visit her.

  4. You didn't say if the best friend was male or female. The parents are apparently quite trusting.

Do you know something they don't? You sound like you do!

  5. No, not until she's 18.

  6. I wouldn't but my ex-husbands mom did that.  His mom decided to move to another state but he didn't want to go so she said fine and left him with a friend of hers that had a daughter he was friends with.  So my ex lived there with her for 2 years, he was 16 at the time.  His mom just figured it wasn't worth the fight to get him to move with her

  7. Absolutely not. I didn't have a child so that another family could raise her during the most crucial years of her life.

  8. definitely. who wants their daughter to have to change schools and everything? i totally understand why she's doing it, but i don't see how she can stand to be away from her for that long. i wish my parents would have let me do that.

  9. a daughters place is with her mother especially since she's under age.

  10. Definitely No

  11. no, not even thinking about being 10 hours away, I wouldnt want my daughter to live with her best friend because it really turns into a bad situation. There is such a thing as being too close of friends.

  12. As me myself I wouldn't, but its important for a child to have friends, and if she chooses too stay in the same school and district. Its something that I wouldn't do myself, but if they are good people and are checked out, then I would somewhat be ok with it maybe.
