  1. Yes, we are reaping what we sow.

For starters, some of the cities with the biggest population increases are in regions with water shortages.  For example, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.  People are moving without considering the natural resources available in the area to which they're moving.

On top of that, global warming is causing increasing droughts in the southwest and other areas.  The American southwest is in the middle of a decade-long drought which is going to continue to last for many decades to come.

The USA is the largest contributor to global warming, yet we're the only developed country not to ratify the Kyoto Protocol, and we have to be dragged into any greenhouse gas emissions reduction agreements kicking and screaming.

We're just starting to see the consequences of our actions now.  It will get much worse in the near future.

  6. no

  7. Wow!  Talk about people who believe the history of the world starts when they were born!

The south east experiences droughts often.  The rain fall isn't static year to year.

Back in 1980 the water levels were at record lows.  This is at a time when the population was 1/4th of what they were today.

The drought ended, the reservoirs filled in just 3 months.

This is just how nature works.  Man has nothing to do with it.

  8. No, I want a meal. I'm allergic to water anyway. I drink coffee.
