Would you like the truth about why King Roger Federer is the greatest tennis player ever?

OK here it is

It is so obviously King Roger Federer that a minute spent debating it is a minute wasted

The King has the most complete game of any tennis player in history

The King has the most devastating forehand of any tennis player in history

The King has been #1 for a far greater number of consecutive weeks than any other tennis player in history

The King is about to beat little John Borg's record of most consecutive Wimbledon wins and in a few years The King will have won Wimbledon more times than any other player in history

The King will soon have won more Grand Slam titles than any other tennis player in history

The King showed his class and respect for Wimbledon by wearing a smart white-cream tongue-in-chic blazer - playfully mocking the stuffy Wimbledon dress code is something only he had the sense of humour to do and something never done by any other tennis player in history

  1. Only on Grass!

  2. wow... that is a lot.... but do you think he'll ever be able to finally get all of the grandslams in one year for once?

  3. You forgot to add 1 more point:

The king has had to deal with the worse players (barring #2 & #3) Tennis has ever seen.

  4. :)

  5. Cool!!

So what is your question again?

  6. doesnt really mattter if we say no as you have told us anyway!

  7. Right let's take this apart one by one.

I think you'll find that whatever people say, Pete Sampras had the best and most complete game in the world. Better serve, better running forehand and his ability to take long rallies was pretty much unsurpassed. Just watch 'The King'. If a rally goes on for more than say five shots, its almost a hundred per cent that he will lose the rally. Don't bother arguing, just watch.

Number 2. Most devastating forehand in the game? Having a laugh? His forehand is most certainly very good but not the best in the world ever. If we take simply this generation, then you 'll find that Fernando Gonzalez and James Blake both have stronger and more accurate forehands. Tommy Robredo probably has more angled forehands ( he gets some ludicrous angles out of them) and er.... Have you forgotten about Rafa Nadal. If that's not devastating, you're delusional.

The Number# is true, so I'll give you that.

Unfortunately, I don't think he's going to be able to beat BJORN Borg's record ( its not John Borg) record. I'll tell you why. Its cos he's hit the downward slope now. i can put money on Nadal winning the Wimbledon this year. He has the speed and the determination to do so, his forehand is very good and most people underestimate his backhand. Every year he has come closer to beating Federer and this is his year.

And have you ever thought, even slightly, that Federer's blazer thing was there because he actually like it. Maybe it wasn't such an intricate joke. maybe, he's just a guy who thought it would be nice to show his prowess off by wearing a blazer to a TENNIS MATCH for frick's sake.

Yeah. Rog is a good player, a great player even, but not as good as you may seem to think.
