Would you like to be neighbor of Russia?

Is Russia good country to be a neighbor of? Why does it invade countries it disagrees with and tries to stop them having opinions.

Russia sells cheap gas to its neighbors and it protects them from invasion.

Look at South Ossetia, it was invaded by Georgia earlier this month and Russia sent troops risking their own lives to protect them.

Russia hasn't invaded anybody for decades, not since the Soviet Union fell. I think that the last place that it actually invaded was Afghanistan.

Yes, I would very much like to have Russia as our neighbour, because I'd feel much better among my own, but I suppose God has his reasons for giving me you, the Albanians, as neighbours. So, I'm not complaining; I put my trust in His hands and believe there's a higher plan in this.

But if I could choose, of course I'd choose to live close to Russia in the physical world, too. As it is, I keep it in my heart. You can't get any closer than that, right?

I'm from Poland, we had lot of trouble with Russia... we still have(they can't stand facts that  we stood up on the side of Georgia and we cooperate with USA, ). I heard that Russia is a beautiful country, but right now it doesn't matter. They (Russian government) want to control all minor countries, but they forgot that there is no Union of Soviet Socialist Republics any more.
