Either a current one or 'ex' - and what kind of house-warming party would you have?

I'd love to live in a old converted church, they can make great, beautiful homes. I would treat it as I would any home of mine, I wouldn't consider it sacred or anything. As for the party just all my friends I haven't seen in ages, and all the usual stuff - drink, food..etc. No intentional 'desecration' but no living like a nun either!

  1. Do I have a choice, then I rather not.

It doesn't feel right. Why do they do this? This is a sacred place and will always will.

For me home is a real house, purposely built for family.  2 or 3 floors, beautiful garden and perhaps (bonus) reasonable size swimmingpool. Great and pleasing.

  2. Churches that are sold to be used for housing are always De-consecrated first..that means that they are no longer the House of God...they are just a building.

  3. Yes, I think old churches are beautiful buildings, and I've seen one that was converted into a very des res. If I ever win the lottery, I will seriously consider it.

As an atheist, I would be sorely tempted to 'rescue' the building from it's consecrated state by indulging in some healthy vice and sins of the flesh!

  4. It would freak the livin Jeebus out of me....theres no way I could do it!!  =0(

  5. an orgy in a church sounds like my way of life!
