  1. Yup.  Travel.  At $7.3 trillion/year and expected to double in the next ten years, travel is the biggest industry in the world.  The only thing that people like doing more than talking about travel is doing it.  I've been in sales for years and selling travel is like selling recess when everybody else is selling Social Studies.

Email me and I'll send you a few links about how and why to start a travel business.

  2. what do you like to do most? what are your passion? internet has a wide opportunity in business, its up to you what do you want. You can choose affiliate marketing, blogging, web hosting, web programming, web designing, etc. Just beware of scams. You may also apply for a business credit card to finance your business. :)

  3. I have my own home based business in the telecommunications industry.  There are plenty of opportunities to have your own business in just about any industry and run it from your home.  I created a blog on my 360 yahoo page on home based business opportunities.  Over half a dozen different ones to choose from in several different industries.  A lot of different ideas that people are involved in and make an incredible amout of money doing.   Also a lot of information on scams and what to look for.  Information on the BBB, and a few other things you should learn about.

  4. will email an idea through... better not to have a cool idea broadcast over the web hey? . . . oh well checked the email option and no go so this is what I was going to send you:

set up an editing service for web pages. Asian countries like China generally have very poor English on their web pages. The cool thing to do would be to see if you can get hold of a few pages, correct them for free and send them back to the companies that own them to build "buzz". Remember it will be important to have people who can speak the language of the country that you are engaging. then provide an editing service with the clients that you have helped as your referees. Would be kinda cool once word spreads and you get a few clients going. Should snowball from there. Oh and you owe me if you do this alright?? lol... just kidding. I have my own businesses and thought of it one day cause I source products globally and come across these websites quite often with their terrible grammer - just an idea and I am not sure if anyone else is going this already.

  5. I'm a stay at home mom with a website/travel hobby that earns money. It was a very slow process at first but now a steady stream of income. The company helps with finding a niche, marketing, design, monetizing, hosting and teaches you how to make it show up in the top 30 on a search, hosting and so much more there is a small fee nothing worth while is free. The fee is prorated and refunded if you don't like it. good luck

Try the "about us" page at www.cheap-fun-family-travel

I'm in the top 10 on Yahoo and the top 40 on google, 40 on live and 30 on Ask my page rating is 1,212,909 out of billions not bad after only 3 months

  6. Something with no inventory so that you don't have the burden of being in deep debt right away. That can be a "make it or break it". Perhaps look into something where you have a special talent or interest and maybe do a consultant type thing or provide a service that you find a need for.

  7. It depends what you're interested in. If one was to start a business right now, one would have to pick something that isn't affected by the economy. When businesses grow, all of the principals are the same.

  8. Online marketing as an affiliate: selling other people's products on commission through reliably managed programs and payment processors. There are tens of thousands of products you can sell on behalf of vendors and there are no fees to pay. They pay you when you sell something.

Apart from access to a computer and the internet, no capital required, no stock to buy or hold, no direct contact with customers, no delivery or product support issues, no rent (work from home), no staff, no fixed hours.

Can be done by anyone virtually anywhere in the world with an internet connection - even from an internet shop.

Affiliates get their sales commissions paid direct into their bank or PayPal etc. account. Some avoid paying any tax with an 'offshore' presence.

Your own domain name and website, while not essential, is a definite advantage and also a reasonable knowledge of English if you are selling into that market (the largest in the world).

There are many free or almost free ways to promote your business, and paid advertising if you want or can afford it.

It's not a 'get rich quick' scheme, although there are plenty of marketers that promise that. Not true, it needs some effort as there's a fair bit to learn, but a lot of information is available for free.

Like everything else, not everyone will be successful at affiliate marketing, but it's certainly worth trying and persevering. You can continue working and do it part time until you feel you are making enough from it.
