My heart does ache

it isnt fair

it pains your mum

the day they said

when we're sad

you feel no pain now

for that were glad

so precious

and so missed aswell

  2. absolutly lovely

    you must have loved her

  3. PATHETIC

  4. Jim L why would you read the poem if you feel this way? the question is obvious!!!

The poem is beautiful and heartfelt and appreciated by all those who have lost a child in the family as well as those who enjoy poetry.

  5. Very very sweet, and so sorry for your loss!!  She would have been proud to see your poem!!!

  6. The above answerers are responding to news of the event, not your poem.

It reminds me of the verse George Best's relative recited at his funeral.

He (and you) would have shown more dignity in suffering grief in silence than in foisting this stuff on us.

Well, Firefly, she did ask us to read it!  You seem to think the subject by itself makes it good.  No it doesn't.

  7. You are both very lucky to have had each other, even if it was for such a short time. Your poem is beautiful, and one day you will be glad you wrote it and it will bring you comfort.

  8. What a beautifully rendered poem, full of deep feeling of love and compassion.

Congratulations on a well penned verse.

    Robert
