  1. NO! a friggin waste of money and time. A no contest really and I don't think boxing would want to see another fight between the 2.

Their first fight revelaed that Hatton is just an average fighter. Doesn't have the qualities to even keep up with a true champion.

  2. mayweather would win again in a rematch

  3. i would like to see it again there were somethings that whent against hatton in the first fight the ref for a start and i think hatton was too up for it last time i think the hype got to him.no dout mayweather is the supirior boxer but i think hatton would have a chance if he was allowed to fight his fight withb out the ref stepping in all the time plus hatton would of learnt a lot from the first fight

  4. I will not waste my money to see that again.  If that happen Mayweather will win again.

  5. Mayweather would

  6. It would be a terrible idea to make the rematch... First thing i hear people saying is that the Ref stepped in too much... sorry to say this, but thats boxing folks... the Referee is there to regulate the action and make sure the fighters are safe and enforce the rules. I dont know if everyone knows this, but hitting while holding, headbutts, and all that stuff that the ref was stopping ricky hatton for doing.. yeah its all illegal. So the referee did a good job.

Second thing i hear people saying is that Hatton would make the adjustments to beat Floyd Mayweather... my rebuttle to that is... Floyd will make adjustments too. Floyd is one of the smartest fighters out there... dont think that Little Ricky would make adjustments and Floyd will fight the same. Floyd is too quick for ricky... too smart for ricky... he's in a different league. It doesnt matter what weight they fight at, where the fight is held, or who referees the fight... Floyd is the superior boxer, and he will be if they meet again.

A rematch would be a waste of time, and wouldn't generate enough money to even tickle mayweathers pickle. IF it happened.. and floyd won again.. i'm sure there will be some other reason why Ricky "got robbed".. and frankly.. im sure everyone is tired of hearing the excuses.

  7. Mayweather would beat him up again anywhere in the world. As much as i like Ricky Hatton he does not have the boxing skill to beat Mayweather.

  8. No there would be no point whatsoever of that fight unless you just wanna see mayweather give hatton an even worse beating than he did the first time around. Hatton is ok to watch fight but he has always been way over rated hes not in mayweathers league and has no buisness  fighting him the fight wasnt even close the first time around. Dont think a rematch would generate enough money to interest mayweather either. Hatton is a very low risk opponent , whos basicaly taylor made for someone like mayweather.... hes got power sure but hes too slow and sloppy to pose a threat to an elite fighter like mayweather. Maybe hatton can eventualy put a fight together with manny pac that would be exciting and a little more fair. You could have hatton fight mayweather 20 times and mayweather would win every bout with ease. Wouldnt matter what arena or country they fought in at all. Hatton is better off fighting at 140 anyway.

  9. Nahh cant be bothered with the anticipation of the build up followed by the inevitable let down

  10. no ,  they shouldnt fight again ,

hatton needs to beat juniour witter before he can get any higher ,

cutting corners will only end his career faster

  11. I would love to see that rematch.  I don't see much of a difference in the outcome.  It would be an awesome spectacle, to sell out Wembley, even in Las Vegas Ricky Hatton had great support, the UK fans are incredible, maybe in the UK there will be enough adreneline to push Hatton to victory?

  12. There would no point in doing a rematch because Hatton will lose again. Money May all day.

  13. My head says no.

I have massive respect for Ricky Hatton, and I would love to see him knock Mayweather out, but the fact of the matter is, Floyd Mayweather is a superior boxer to Ricky Hatton, and in my opinion Hatton would lose again.

  14. May weather fought Hatton at a weight he had very little chance at, he's clever. Floyd will never take the rematch and quite frankly I don't think Hatton deserves one nor do I want to see it.

  15. erm, i think that hatton would know more about what to expect from the step up - i remember from his post match interview (immediately after) that hatton said that he wasnt ring savvy enough about some of the things that mayweather got away with - elbows, close-in hits etc, so i think that experience would help hatton, plus a less fussy referee would help hatton out loads too - i think the referee hindered hatton in the first fight - everytime hatton started to 'street-fight' with mayweather - the ref stepped in & stopped it.

also, i think they should fight in the UK, manchester would be very partisan for hatton, so wembley would be a bigger venue (also make a bigger pay day for both of them - thus enticing mayweather out of retirement and over here)

I see the following happening if hatton wins:

fight one (dec 07) - mayweather wins by knock-out in USA

fight two (tbc) - hatton wins on points in UK.

fight three (tbc) - hatton wins by knock-out in USA - mayweather retires for good.

its going to turn into the lewis V holyfield fights from the 90's - when they had to have the 3 fights to settle it - sign of the times (how many times do we see a one-off title fight??)
