Do you think it would be cool to see them race come rain or shine? Do you think it will ever be safe for them to do so? I don't really want them to race in the rain. What do you think?

  1. there testing the rain tire so it may happen

  2. I think it would be cool! I don't know if it would be to safe though.

  3. Nope. Once was enough.

  4. i dont think they could do it all the time if it rained.  i think that if they tried to put all weather tires on a nascar in the rain at a track like daytona with the speed and the banking and the weight of the COT it would not work out.

on road course i'd like to see them put all weather tires on and race yes like they did at W. glenn.

  5. no it would be stupid

  6. they already did this year nationwide road race it will never happen on any thing but road courses simple physics and hydroplaining. how can you be so dumb.

  7. Yeah i would like to see them race in the rain.who knows what could happen with the track being slippery.

  8. i really would love to see that because that would be so excited to see

  9. As much as I would love to see that, that would make for an ugly race.  Road courses are definitely fine, maybe even short tracks if they can improve the windshield wipers and if it's not raining too hard, but not at intermediate tracks because it's not safe enough in my opinion, and never ever at superspeedways, because that is extremely hazardous, and a big wreck would wipe out most of the field pretty quickly, which wouldn't be fun for the drivers.

  10. Yeaaa. Ive seen them race when it first starts to rain but they always stop. :(

  11. I wouldn't want it all the time but I sure think it beats a rain-out.  I hate it when that happens, then the race is on Monday or whatever and I miss it or have to keep track on the internet and that pretty much sucks.  Bring out the rain tires if the weather calls for it and slap on windshield wippers too, I don't want to miss anything.

  12. No. It would be a crash fest. No different than driving at 80 mph in the rain on an Interstate.

  13. umm no  that would be stupid

  14. No, only on certain tracks. We race on a Nascar Sanctioned dirt track and when it rains, it is like ice. Extremely dangerous, no matter how experienced the driver and no matter what types of tires used.

  15. Well I didnt see the nationwide race when they raced in the rain so I'm not sure. I guess it would be fine as long as its safe and they can still RACE!

  16. Yea, Why don't they? It's not any worst then going 200 mph and then the really Good Drivers would come to the top. Get it?

  17. Yes but only for road courses. It is much too dangerous on tracks like dega or daytona. It would really depend for tracks like Michigan, Texas, Fontana on how hard it is raining, a very light rain could maybe get away with it, but how often do we see very light rain, usually when it rains, it rains too hard for those tracks. The only ovals I could see rain tires being even remotely considered are martinsville and bristol, just because the speeds are slower, but even those tracks are a question mark, because the track is small and in the rain you would have 43 cars bunched together on a slick surface, that is just wrecks waiting to happen. So IMO I think the only place rain tires could belong is on road courses.

  18. nah.

For one thing they really wouldn't be able to fill the stands.

Then even if a tire were made with a lot of grip for on the track, think of the rain beating against a windshield and not be able to see anything.  Wouldn't even see the wall coming at him.

Think about it....it really wouldn't be a fun race to watch.

  19. ne would not want to see that, I just think that would not benefit those that like to see real racing and the hazards are too treacherous.
