No sorry, they are far too unstable at the moment(behind the scenes), they will get leapfrogged by Celtic crusaders for a franchise place as will Salford I'm afraid especially as CC have a big money man & d**k Lewis is having games played in Taff land.

Even IF they expand superleague to 15 clubs (28 matches played) Widnes wont get a look in until the next franchises are looked at. Maybe IF Widnes can bolster their squad on a long term basis with a good youth policy and keep the gates up then MAYBE they have a chance to squeeze someone out but that wont happen until at least the end of 2011
