ok, so i work at second cup (think: canadian version of starbucks). i have a single point surface anchor (microdermal) on the back of my left wrist...about 2 inches up from my actual wrist bone. today was the first day i went to work with it exposed, and i kept getting the feeling that the customers were looking at it like "uhhh that is SO not sanitary". what's more, i was wearing black nail polish. i could easily remove/change the nail polish, but as for the piercing - am i being paranoid? it's not like i actually touch the milk or food...but still...i duno. would it disturb you if you saw it? maybe ill just cover it with a bandage from now on, but that sort of defeats one of the major purposes of having a piercing in the first place.

  1. it wouldn't bother me, i would just be really interested in it cause probably i've never seen a person with a wrist person in real life. i would probably stare at it thinking how awesome that is and if it must've hurt or something like that. you should take your nail polish off though cause it makes you seem too goth with the piercing and polish.

for example, a lot of people stare at people with tattoos all over their bodies not cause it's disgusting or anything but cause it's beautiful and really interesting to look at all the artwork.

  2. I think it depends on what it looks like.

I have never heard of a wrist piercing before, so that might be why people were looking at it. I just googled pictures and it doesn't really look like a piercing, so I guess people were just trying to see what it was. I wouldn't mind nail polish because you aren't actually touching my drink, but I'd say your best bet is just clean nails which will give the appearance of cleanliness.

  3. i don't know if i would care or not but I would try covering it up with some big bracelets or a long sleeved shirt,

  4. Unless it was crusting I wouldn't care...

Hardly any worse than a bracelet or ring or something. And an awful lot less likely to fall off.

  5. I don't think I would care unless it looked infected or gross or something was coming out of it, you know? I think that if it was a real problem, your boss would talk to you about it.

  6. No,

    I wouldn't care,

infact I'd ask you about it,

and think you're really cool (:

    Don't worry about them,

you're going to see them for like a minute then you're gone.

I'd be grossed out if it was all infected and gross looking,

but Im guessing it isnt :)

  7. honestly i wouldnt like it but i wouldny mind it. i think you should just keep flat jewlery in or nothing at all. people are really close minded.

  8. hows you personality  if you are a smart engaging witty or approachable type. it will be perceived differently than if you are a robotic sourpuss looking goth citizen hater. I f my first impression of you is really good you could probably sneeze on my drink and I wouldn't get to upset. But if I pull my kids near me when I see you the wrist thing could throw me over the edge
