I'm thinking that if you would, you probably have a million different reasons as to why. And if you would, then why?!!!!

I have a friend of a friend that is moving to Ireland at the end of August and I'm thinking that's probably a smart move!

  1. Yes, this country is going by the way of Adam. We are opening it up willy nilly to any darn person who wants to walk in.  These people have no respect for American culture or Americans. Whites will soon be the minority and then no one will want to live here anymore. That's a fact!

  2. I lived in Canada for a year. I wouldn't mind living in other countries for short periods of time...say a year or two. But I would always want to come back to the States. This is HOME.

  3. if i knew of a better country i would hurry up and leave. america is getting crowded and will soon be over crowded.

  4. that is a freedom we have. but you need to apply for citizenship in your new country so get started before the mass exodus when Obama and Pelosi take over. i would go to Canada or Australia.

  5. I would consider going back to Ireland. I lived there for a bit and loved it.

  6. I can think of no reason that would compel me to leave my country.

  7. No.

We have a lot more opportunities here in the U.S than in other countries.

  8. I do have the chance, because I live in a free country.  Which is one of the reasons I won't leave.

  9. Yup, if I could afford to do so.  I've travelled Internationally and loved it each time.  For the most part, if you feel comfortable visiting NYC, SF or LA, you'll be fine in most places around the globe.

It drives me nuts when people here make judgements about other places in the world when they've never travelled outside the country let alone their own state.

I remember travelling to Russia in 2000 and the things people told me here in the US were completely wrong.  Trying to order a Big Mac and not speaking the language was actually kind of fun.  As was negotiating the Subway and getting around in general.

People have different reasons, mine is for adventure and knowledge.

  10. I think everyone should try living abroad, even if just for a year or two.  Living in another country gives you the opportunity to see things from a different perspective.

  11. I would love to live in Ireland.  My in-laws live in a town that is just like mine.  I would love to go there for my children's education and the family is much larger there.  But here it is cheaper and easier for us to raise our children.  It's hard either way because no matter what there is family on both sides of the pond.

  12. No, I would never consider living anywhere else. I have been to many other countries. None stack up to the USA. Most Americans take for granted the freedoms we have. That in it self is a very sad state of affairs. This is the only country that if you have the drive and fortitude. You can do anything you wish with your life. The only thing that holds you back is yourself. For those of you that wish to leave (as in move out, not travel), don't let the door hit you, where the good lord split you.

  13. People always think the grass is greener on the other side. I used to live in the UK and I think it is funny when so many Americans talk about how much they wanna move there. Most of them dont even know that in the UK we dont use the Euro, the taxes are so high, and the place is full of immigrants.
