I'm divorced from a Brazilian woman, and am dating another Brazilian woman, who lives in Brazil. I have a 10 year old son who has dual citizenship, and have a feeling his mom wants to send him to Brazil for some time to understand her culture. I speak very good, almost fluent, portuguese, and have a good education and have become passionate with a true, kind hearted woman who doesn't want to live in the US. So I'm considering moving there to pursue my love with this woman. Would anyone else move if they thought there would be a better life there than here, I mean closer knit family, and all around the people are nicer to foreigners than we americans are. I'm ready for it!

  1. I say go for it. Just make sure it's what your sons wants to do also because as a single parent your child's needs should come first. It sounds like he would be okay with it if that's where his mom is but just talk to him about it.

  2. Of course, and without any hesitation!  I'd do anything to be with my boyfriend. If it meant moving, I would move.  If it meant him coming here, I would get him here as soon as I could.  My future with him is the most important thing in my life, and I would do anything I could, to make it work.  I think you should do it. You'll be closer to your son, and to the woman you love.  Double bonus!

  3. Well how is the work and healthcare over there? How is relationship going? If she loves and supports you then nothing can stop your heart. Just be realistic. Will it be worth the move? Will they help you with the move and pull their end of the bargain once you get there? I mean will they still love you when you move there? Or is the relationship trustworthy? its all based on trust and love. Also you are to be commended for considering your child's benefit as well. so my advice is go for it. It will all work out and it will be an experience of a lifetime.

  6. In this case, I'd totally move.  It'll probably be better than the states.
