  1. Why listen to them, your parents and maybe some of your family have already had a baby, they got their chance to name one, its your turn if your husband agrees then go for it, don't listen to them as they should not really have a say in you baby's name, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT! By the way I think that Sebastian is a wonderful name :) When I grow up and have a baby I am thinking about Crystal and well I haven't thought of a name for a boy but I want it to be a cool, unique name.

  2. It's your choice what you name your kid. It's your own flesh and blood that you are going to be looking after, so you can't not choose a name just because his family doesn't approve.

My family caved into pressure from my Dad's parents when it came to my name. They just wanted to call me "Beth", but my grandparents insisted I was called "Bethany", and I was eventually named Bethany, much to my parents distaste. I've been called Beth since I was a toddler though, and no-one I know calls me Bethany.. if they do I correct them. Only my grandparents call me by my full name, and when they do I get mad at them. It just doesn't suit me.

Sebastian is a gorgeous name. Go with your heart. (:

  3. The child is your and your husbands.  Name it as the two of you see fit.  The rest of the world will deal with it appropriately.

  4. Its your child, If its what you and your husband want, then Sebastian it is. Besides once the little one is born nobody will care anymore once they see the little ones face!

  5. Yes, because the child is mine and not theirs. No one has the right to tell you what you and your husband can and can not name your child. If you are really intent on pleasing them, let them choose the middle name, but your childs name is yours and yours alone to create.
