  1. Just say it is a large swimming pool, a moat that would be cool, I live in Florida I could have alligators, thanks for the idea.

  2. yes theres pipes all around your house how do u think u get water gas and electricity!!!

  3. Only if you stick sharks in it ................

  4. We apparently have fell foul of having a small downstairs opaque window that opens out onto a view our neighbours empty brick wall, and that apparently, after he complained, is against planning permission.  I guess he thinks we might stare at his bricks in an unbecoming manner.

Can I join you on the moat thing?  Also, can I put forward a port-cullis, murder holes where you can pour boiling oil down and random pot-holes that people can fall down unexpectedly?

If Im gonna fall foul of the Planning Dept, Id at least like to try and make the effort and have fun with it?

  5. Sadly yes but sod 'em do it anyway

  6. Yes.

You would need permits... and inspections... and reviews... and authorization (before you dig) And you can only dig IF your Zoning even qualifies you to dig in that area. (reseach before paying for permits) You have to talk to the city to find any of this out. (or look online)

  7. Phillip H ?

Your not married to her maj are you ?

  8. lol

Yes, unless you live in a castle.

  9. The health department would stop that project in a heartbeat due to mosquito infestation from standing water if you are in an incorporated area.

  10. Well, there you go!  You've got half the problem covered already!  You already own a "castle" in England.  So why are you asking us Nationals here in the States such a silly question.

You should know that these days are NOT the Medieval times and society has certainly improved her lot from the mores and morals of those times so why would you even ask such a question, unless of course you have a neighbor you really can't stand!

    LOL

  11. You wouldnt be able to do it unless you have a few acres

Home owners association wont allow it!

  12. Of  course and dont forfget to ADD a very large Insureance policy to handle all the lawsuits filed against you.

  13. yes

  14. I WANT TO DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah probably :S   depends where u live.

  15. If you paid for the land fully, I guess so.

There's no law disallowing ponds is there?

  16. Sure just like any other ordiances. If I fall in it I will sue you, so you better have a wall or fence around it and good insurance.

  17. Not if you have a Queen running around that house of yours.

  18. Of course, but why... nevermind im not gonna ask.

  19. Yes,especially if you were going to run boat trips.

  20. it depends..if it is filled with flowers, nope, if it is filled with water, you might run into trouble depending on the depth. If it is too deep you might be forced to build a fence to protect animals and children from drwoning, if it is too shallow it might be deemed a problem as still water allows mosquito larve to hatch...if you put in peranas or aligators you might have issues with the animal rights activists...I suggest you make it a lap pool with a strong current...that way when you get up at the crack of dawn you can have a great workout against the current, and also have fun skinny dipping...which will be interesting to all your neighbours!  Kinda a public service!!

  21. no just a big shovel.

  22. i think so but look here
