Would you not vacation in Mexico to protest their treatment of Canadian visitors?

really sad.....don't know if she did anything wrong.....but even if she knew about it....she was in mexico where the judicial system does not always work like it does north of there....

i don't believe it has anything to do with canadians tho.

no i would not boycott mexico over this.  a boycott does not harm the people doing this to her.

Mexicans love Canadians!

And after reading this story, I fail to see how this proves anything otherwise.  This is one incident that we have very little information about.  It's a legal issue, not a race or bigotry issue.

Here in Puerto Vallarta, the Mexicans absolutely love Canadians and welcome hundreds of thousands of Canadian tourists, retirees, and snowbirds every year.  They even celebrate Canadian day and have Canadian clubs!  

Visit Mexico for yourself and you will see how welcome you are for yourself!

Mexico doesn't have anything against Canadians.  Do you realize how many Canadians go there?  Many!  This is an unfortunate event.  Many will welcome Canadians.

I don't believe Mexicans have anything against Canadians...can't make a sweeping judgement like that on one case...or a few.  There are American and Canadian prisoners in the jails of other countries all over the world.  I am sure some foreign tourists end up in jail in Canada...does that mean Canadians have something against the country those people are from?    Any foreign tourists ever been mugged, killed or victims of other crime in Canada?  Yup...happens everywhere.  That does not mean it is national policy. Many foreign tourists enter Mexico and break the law,,,sometimes they end up in jail.  This woman may or may not be innocent, and I hope this is soon resloved, but  it is not wise to make sweeping judgements on this case.

You have to remember Mexico is corrupt, so much I would never go there, in fear I would never return.

They are run by a Mafia.

I wouldnt vacation in Mexico for any reason whatsoever...they also have things against their neighbors south of their border....
