  1. here is  an honest white persons thoughts  the idea  a fresh new person  running  is  all dandy  i  can not  get  passed  his  racist  wife  racist  friends  and  his  church  and  thats  the  honest  answer  if  i  ever  have  given  one  i  just  can  not  vote  on  someone  who  shows  many  signs  of  racism  from  the  get  go so  i  will vote  McCain.  his  skin  color  had  nothing  to  do  with  my  decision

  2. I would vote for Obama if he was white or black or Asian or whatever race.

Here in Illinois Obama and Durban has done so much for this state. I am very proud to be an Illinoisan and an American for having Obama in the running.

  3. Washington State has only a 3% black population but Obama has a commanding lead of 50% to 39% over McCain in the most recent polling. That means that nearly half the white population of the state is ALREADY supporting him--black as he is!  If your theory is true, it's almost scary thinking how big a gap there would be between the candidates if Obama were white.

But I suspect people are just supporting him because they understand the scope of the issues we face--unlike the people of Alaska and Arizona, who are simply supporting their favorite sons, or of Utah and a few backwards southern states, where intelligence is sometimes at a premium

  4. I'll be honest if you can talk one...mind you just ONE Obama supporter to be honest. I won't vote for him because of his radical left beliefs and inexperience VS McCain's experience.

I know several Obama supporters and all they can tell me is he supports change. They can never tell me what kind of change because Obama himself has never told us his versions of the changes he supports. Remember...be honest!

  5. yes bring on colin powell

top 1% of taxpayers, those who earn above $388,806, paid 40% of all income taxes in 2006, the highest share in at least 40 years. The top 10% in income, those earning more than $108,904, paid 71%. Barack Obama says he's going to cut taxes for those at the bottom, but that's also going to be a challenge because Americans with an income below the median paid a record low 2.9% of all income taxes, while the top 50% paid 97.1%. Perhaps he thinks half the country should pay all the taxes to support the other half.

  6. I think there are plenty of people who won't vote for him because he's black (many, many more than those who will vote for him because he IS black).

    See this story

    http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/union-l...

That said, I wish people could look past his race and avoid 8 more years of corruption, war mongering, and hatred!

  7. I am not NOT voting for Obama because he's black.  I am NOT voting for him because he is a racist rainbow tripper who does not have a clue how to actually perpetuate all that 'change' he dreams of.

On the other hand, I would HONESTLY vote for Colin Powell if he were running.  And he is blacker than Obama...since both his parents are black.  Not just a black dad and a 'white folk' mother.

  8. I would vote for a black man for president.  How shallow is this country to keep a person out of office because of skin color, or religious beliefs, or gender.  Its 2009 America, lets grow as a nation and grow up!

  9. I would not vote for Obama if he were white, black, green or red.  If Bobby Jindal were running for president, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat, and he isn't white either.  Any black man or woman who is qualified and dedicated to keeping taxes low, supporting free trade, putting the beat-down on terrorists, appointing constitutionalist judges, and committing to energy independence by both off-shore drilling, nuclear, and wind/hydro/solar power gets my vote over some white liberal elitist like John Edwards who believes it is appropriate to blackmail congress into nationalizing healthcare.

  10. come on he is white pretending to be black or as they call him bosco, (black of skin color only) ask anyone from the hood they know the real Obama//// but the bottom line is he is a socialist and bad news for this country and that's why I won't vote for him////

  11. No, race does not matter to me.

I am not voting for him because I am also from Chicago: our sales taxes are 10.25%, public transit is on the verge of bankruptcy, crime is out of control in some areas, houses are going into foreclosure and our government, both city and state, are corrupt.

He does nothing when he has the power to.  That's why.  So much for "change".

  12. I am not american but I would certainly vote for obama if I were.  America needs stability, colour should have no bearing on anything.  His mind seems to be concentrating on changing america for the better while the other side have nothing more to do than run him down.

  13. I like him and color isn't an issue for me. I happen to think it's really cool that he is black and running for president! It's about time! We need to get those Republicans out of the White House ASAP! GO OBAMA!!!

  14. Not american and not age to vote, but I wouldn't not vote for him just cause he's black, anyone who does that shouldn't be voting in the first place. I wouldn't vote for him just because he was black either. I'd vote cause of their policies, which I don't know.

  15. I would not vote for him if he were, blue, pink, purple, white, or any other color.  His color has nothing to do with why I'm not voting for him!

I love how the democratic party keeps saying the republican party is racist and will play the race card, etc,  but yet it's the dems that are the only ones talking about race. They are the ones that keep bringing it up.

  16. The truth is that he would NOT have made it to where he is if he was white. Putting blind ideology aside, any honest person knows that he would be the same place as his ideological twin John Edwards is if he were white and that is at home. He is where he is because he is a novelty and has been successful at getting a bandwagon of people who "want to make history".

I would vote for JC Watts, Clarence Thomas, Michael Steele and many other black people for president in a heartbeat because their policies are best for America.

  17. David Paterson.

    Right here, right now.

I would vote for David Paterson for President.

He is New York's governor. He is funny, and smart, and he has accomplished something with his life.

Not only is he black, he is also blind.

And his resume is ten times the length of Barack Obama's.

  18. Barak Obama is not black. He is white with a black father but brought up by his mother. Does he look like Louis Armstrong? No.

He looks like a tanned Kevin Costner (But not in the movie where he plays a Russian spy) You Republican people are barking up the wrong spoiler tree. You know, of course, Palin is half Innuit? And the half that shoot polar bears for fun. Those bears only visit town because their ice is melting and there is nowhere to chill out. Who is responsible for that The Kyoto Kid G W Bushwhacker.

  19. I know alot of people think that you are being racist for asking the question, but I dont think you are . Your question is actually a good question. There are many people who are in denial and wont vote for him because he is black. They try to cover it up and say if Colin Powell or Condaleeza Rice were running, that they would vote for them. Thats bull, because they wouldnt vote for either of them. Its easy to say that you would vote for the black person thats not  actually in the presidential race. I would vote for Obama no matter what color he was. I have voted for some of the past presidents and they were white, but I voted for them. I could have not voted. People need to wake up in America and vote for the best candidate and right now that is Obama/Biden.

  20. So you're implying that people aren't voting for him because they're all racist?

    Wow.

I wouldn't vote for him if he was purple, black, blue, white, orange, yellow, or pink.  It doesn't matter to me.  What does matter is that he's some Marxist Messiah who isn't right for the job.

  21. He's a socialist with a racist background, bad associations and no qualifying experience. Only misinformed people will be voting for Obie once November comes around.

I'm actually amazed someone this wrong for president has made it this far.

  22. The fact he's black is incidental.  I wouldn't vote for him because I don't like the meaningless rhetoric he talks.   It is quite convincing the first time you hear it but then he keeps repeating the same thing and you've got to wonder how many words he can use without saying anything.

  23. I never consider race when voting.

No, I would not vote for Obama if he were white, because he is unqualified.

I vote for the candidate who is the most qualified. Race and gender do not influence my opinion whatsoever.

  24. I love the people calling you a racist. I guess they've never seen you or ANY of your questions or responses on here.

Voting for Obama because he's black is as stupid as voting for McCain/Palin because Palin is a woman.

I love Obama. I didn't realize how depressed and hopeless I've felt the last couple of years until he gave his speech the other night. Now there's a tiny ray of hope again.

  25. I  would not vote for Obama because of his ties with his evil cousin  and that fanatical preacher he has been listening to for years..Yes   I would vote for a black man ,it is to bad Powell didn't run, he would have made an excellent president.

  26. no...i don't vote for him because he is a liberal and a liar...

He claims he wants the rich to pay more, but Obama voted against requiring wealthy Medicare beneficiaries to pay a greater share of their Medicare Part D premiums...

  27. My Choice for President would never be based on Color or s*x. It is however based on Character, and Experience both of which John McCain posess. If Colin Powell were running he's most certainly get my vote. Obama on the other hand has less experience than the VP nominees, he also grew up in a Muslim family and Muslim Extremist have waged war on our country therefore for me there is a bit of a trust issue.

  28. i would never bother voting anybody for president, all of the candidates are always complete c*nts. whatever their race, gender, etc, anybody who actually WANTS the job of president is in no fit state to run a country.

  29. He's Democrat

He is not from Hill Billy town

    He is  more diplomatic

Since we are on this topic, It is funny to see black republicans, yes BLACK REPUBLICANS.  The democratic party is more to my line of thinking, They believe in SCIENCE and MATH.

  30. I will be voting for McCain but it doesn't have anything to do with Obama being black and McCain being white.  If Colin Powell was running, I'd vote for him...or probably somebody like J.C. Watts.  I just don't agree with Obama's views on a lot of issues.

  31. I would LOVE to vote for a minority.  Just not that minority.  He doesnt answer questions directly and he is way too fluffy for my tastes, and his nuclear strategy is enormously scary to me.

Im looking forward to the election either way, because we are having either a minority or a woman instead of just two old white guys :-)
