Would you pay a couple bucks on top of the food cost to have someone deliver it to you.?

For instance Taco Bell does not deliver. Your total for your food is $10.44. Would you pay a delivery charge for someone to deliver it to you? Any ideas?

I would pay a couple of dollars, especially now with gas prices. I think a few dollars is fair, unless you live out in the country. You figure the wear and tear on a car, insurance, and gas prices, you would have to charge. Plus you have to pay a delivery driver. And there should be a minimum order, dollar amount wise.

yes in my town you can call a restaurant, place your order, then have a cab driver pick it up for you. it does cost five bucks which is the price for a cab ride but it can be worth it because i am a nondriver.

Think of the delivery charge as a tip, I think that will ease your mind.

yes, with the price of gas going up. you can start your own business delivering. When i lived in FL I saw something like that. You could order from any restaurant and the delivery service would pick it up and deliver it to you. you cut a deal with the restaurants that you don't pay top dollar for the food. you get a discount on the food but people going through your delivery service pay the full price.

Peapod charges to deliver groceries...and I use them sometimes...so, yes, I would pay for the convenience.

here where i live there is someone who does that; he has a card that he takes around to everyone; i've never used him, but i think he probably does well...he goes to all of the businesses...coming from a person who has had to go pick up lunch for everyone in the office...i think it's a good idea

Absolutely. They have that in Florida and here in Texas. You call them. They call in your order. Pick it up and deliver it and you pay a delivery fee and tip. Epecially since the cost of gas is going up.

But would you pay a little extra to have a drive thru convience store like I had in Florida. Imagine paying and extra 20 cents for dr.pepper but not having to waste your time going into a store and standing in line? or for cat food? or whatever.

Heck no.  It's worth it for pizza, but tacos and burgers just don't travel well enough for me to want them delivered.
