Ok, so here it goes. I just went through a huge fraud problem with my checking account which took quite a bit of money out of my account. Bank of America refunded it, then took it back and charged my account saying that the merchant credited me for it even though i dont even know who the h**l the merchant is! Well, since this freaked me out I recently opened up a bank account with a different bank, and I told BOA that I won't pay it because on top of charging me for the fraud accounts and saying that I cannot dispute it they also charged me with insufficient fund fees because i took what money i had in there out right away when the fraud was supposedly settled. So right now my account is -80.00 right now i am a college student so money is tight especially with the way prices are running, and paying for tuition and all. so, would you pay this? i really dont think im going to.

  1. i know how you feel went thru it myself if the company credited you back then the bank does have the right to take away your credit that was given to you because if not you would get double you amount . you should of waited until everything was clear on your acct then closed it,  i know it does not seem right but thats how it works

  2. You should put this forward with the Better Business Bureau. You should request copies from all the folk who claimed that you owe money. Businesses just can't say that you have a bill with them without showing what the item(s) are and how much their costs are. They must also show your signature on whatever you were supposed to have bought. You should also write a certified letter w/return receipt, to the CEO of Bank of America. He/she has no idea of the tactics that the bank has done. Just make it to the point and have whatever proof you can offer that you have been screwed. This will be to your benefit. Once resolved, the credit bureaus will all be notified on your behalf. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the GOD of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19   Peace!

  3. I went thru this with a fraud with BOA. They asked for an affidavit and I included a cd with all the info I could get on the crims burned on it and they got the money back, no questions-Pay-Pal was another matter- they screwed me around for a month before I got my account back. However thru it all I kept my account open. Banking is based on faith. So when you pulled your account you sent a bad message to the bank. Go kiss a little butt at the bank- and re-establish your overdrafted account and then do the paper work to get the job done-remember---banks love logical paper work. So get your duckies in a row and get back in the good graces. And If that will not work--everybody has a boss. So if you are not treated with respect, know the boss. Oh yes--welcome to the nasty real world.-this is just the first time-but the solution works on a lot of situations from car repair to getting married.
