Question:

Would you pay to watch Ultimate Fighter?

I was watching Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV for the first time. First off, I realize how demanding the fighting is and I wouldn't last 10 seconds. But a majority of the fight seems to always be on the mat where they struggle for the best hold. It seems the fight would be very boring to the people in the audience. Watching on TV is one thing, but paying $50 or more to watch two guys wrestling on the mat would be a waste. Are the matches much different on PPV?

  1. No,, I wouldn't it's just not worth that much to me, but we all have different ideas of value.  I spent $7000 on front and rear channel speakers, so my stereo is worth more than my car, which is ok, I care about how my movies sound, I couldn't acre less about my car.

Value is always perceived by the consumer, if you think it's worth it, it is.

  2. I not watch if free, boring see men wrestle on floor long time, wrestling of 1900 have same problem, no one want see men on floor 15 minute.

  3. The guys on The Ultimate Fighter are more along the rookie status.  They generally don't have the experience of a UFC Veteran.  Take Amir for example his Pro Record is 0-0.  He is an amateur fighter right now.

As far as the 2 guys wrestling on a mat.  If you do a little research in to, or train, some Jiu Jitsu you will have a whole new outlook about that.

No, I don't think anyone would watch TUF on PPV.  The guys don't have the experience or the name recognition yet.

  4. I'd pay, but I watch for free anyway. =] I'd go watch a fight in real life, not just on tv. If you don't know what's going on when they're on the ground it can be boring.

  5. The fights on ultimate fighter are pretty new to this level of competition and they are not as well rounded in their game yet. like they say 85% of fights go to the ground . but to a true mma fan the fight on the ground can be just as exciting on the ground as is standing up because we understand the fight for position as well as the set up for submission. I love it when they go to the ground and one guy is raining leather and then boom armbar gotta love it. as for paying to see the ultimate fighter noway.

  6. I would pay up to $300.00 TO WATCH A LIVE EVENT.I GET THE PAY-PER-VIEW TWICE A MONTH.

  7. Once you see one or two events, they lose the value in my opinion. All matches become too similar.

  8. well ultimate fighter is up and comers so yea the ppvs are

much different better matches big name fighters
