Would you pick monty?

If colin montgomerie does not qualify for the ryder cup, do you think faldo should pick him as a wild card, personally i think he should as i think he is the best ryder cup player of all time.

Absolutely!  Colin Montgomerie is one of the best matchplay players we have.  Faldo would be an idiot to leave him out of the Ryder Cup team.

he is the man for the ryder cup - in fact i think i would put money on faldo picking him as a wild card - do you think a bookie would be up for that.

Monty seems to come into his own for the Ryder - he responds to crowd for Ryder and the crowd love him too

Monty is a team player and is a great psychological tool in our hands - I think the other european players would want him there too  - lets whup the americans again!

The Europeans always take us in Ryder because they approach golf as a team event as to the American who look at it as in individual sport.  Hence the great comeback we can make in the individual matches on the last day.  

That being said teams need leader...actual or inspirational and Colin Montgomerie has proven to be a stalwart of the team for year.  Ryder will bring out the best in him (the worst in the Americans).  As long as he is hitting the ball well I can guarantee that he'll be there independent of his tournament wins.  

Now, if we only had some like that for the Americans.

As an American, yes I would want him to pick Monty.  I also would like him to pick Seve, and any other washed up players he can find.

Faldo should pick Langer before he picks Monty.
