Would you please give me some information about xochimilco?

Hi! as far as I know xochimilco is a traidtional beautiful country inside the mexico city where there are cannals and canoes decorated with flowers to ride over the cannals. Do you know if people who live there have a particular accent different from that of people who live in other parts of the mexico city? I mean a rural accent which is considered as a sign of belonging to lower social class by mexicans . Do usually poors live there? tanx.

Actually we can considerate Xochimilco as part of Mexico city.  No country, it is part of the city, and people there might dress as natives from more than 100 years ago, but it is not a lower social class area, there are many residential zones around were wealthy people live.  No accent, there might be people from out of state, that might have an accent as if you go to NY and the English is absolutely different in each person.  I hope this helps you.
