I've simply adored this name for quite some time, and just wanted to know if others thought this would be a really bad idea. This is just for future reference, by the way. Thanks a bunch. :]

  1. Well, a teal is a kind of duck.  I'm a birder, so I'd probably name my kid Teal without any qualms, but you might want to consider whether you want to give other kids the ammunition to tease your kid with a duck-based name.  :)

  2. nope, sorry!

  3. No

  4. Yes, very bad idea.

  5. it's ok, but i would use it as a middle name not the first name.  if u really like it, you should use it cuz it will be special 2 u.=)

  6. It depends. How much do you want your child to get laughed at? You know, getting ridiculed builds character. Sometimes.

  7. It may be good as a middle name, but not as a first name.

  8. Teal the seal!  No dont burden any future children with this they will not appreciate it in the long run.  Traditional names are making a big comeback.

  9. You might as well name him Black...oh or green...do you know how many kids woud make funn of him?

  10. Teal is *sorta* boyish, but it sounds rather girly to me. That would be teasing ammunition. Also, it's a color. More teasery. I don't think it'd make a good middle name, either: [normal] Teal [normal] is sort of jarring.

  11. It makes me think of a color and of a duck.  Not a good name for first or middle.  Sorry.

  12. i personally love color names, Violet, Scarlett, Blu, and this one is no exception:)

  13. a middle name for teal? ok, how about blue?

No. Don't name your kid teal. Don't do that to him.

  14. I'm sorry...but I'm thinking that a little boy named this would get picked on a lot and no one likes that. So maybe a middle name wouldn't be that bad, but not for a first name. Just think of all the teasing this child would go through.

  15. a big no-no

  16. I don't really like it. Sorry!

  17. It is ok, certainly not as bad as the current "Ayden, Brayden, Jayden" trend.

However it does sound a lot like Seal? Just something to consider.

  18. I kind of hope you're kidding.  Teal? Like, the color?  I'm sorry but I think that's a horrible name for a kid.
