because I looked at the courses you have to take when applying to the nursing program at san jose state, and they are mostly physiology and anatomy classes

  1. Don't take AP Bio, it's killer and you definitely don't need it for the nursing program. Take Anatomy and Physiology because it's good practice for when you take it in college. It's very hard, and if you know the basics, the pre-requisites will go by easier. I took AP Bio in highschool and I totally regret it because it was a waste of time and not needed at all for the nursing program.

  2. A&P would be more helpful although that's a lot of work for a high school student. Treat the course as if it's 3 or 4 AP classes. There is a lot of new information and terms to learn for the anatomy section.
