  1. I think I'd take the Sig because it's the most expensive.

Ya see, What I'd do is take it to a gun show,

and try to trade it in for two used S&W revolvers.

    It's a fine gun,

but what can I say...I'm a wheelgun freak.

  2. .357 desert eagle magnum.

  3. Sig

    Glock

    Beretta

  4. Glock

reliable- yes as long as you feed it non-reloaded jacketed ammo and keep it clean

accuracy- good my mom has regular sights on her glock 17 and its accurate

history- wasn't too popular in the beginning, but many people love them now.

    Sig Sauer

reliable- yes as long as you feed it non-reloaded jacketed ammo and keep it clean

accuracy- YES very accurate, alot of Air marshalls carry them for head shots and so they don't hit passengers.

history-Sig Sauer has been making guns since the 1850s and the military has adopted the p228 9mm pistol as the m11 pistol. Very rich history.

    Beretta

Reliability-not as good in certain conditions and may have problems with sand. Remember to use the right ammo and keep them clean as if your life depends on it.

Accuracy- I've shot a targets at 50 yards with my uncle Beretta 92fs 9mm.

History- They have been around since 1526 and many countries use there firearms.

  5. a galactic nitrogenic atomic lazer cannonzzz

  6. reliability GLOCK!!! i luv mine.

    accuracy SIG

  7. Sig, Glock then Beretta.

All are good.  If you want an accurate gun the Sig is it.  I have a bit of a problem with the Glock because of the angle of the grip.  The Sig is just more comfortable to me.  The Beretta works well and I do own a few of them.  They just are not the top of the line in my opinion.

  8. Save the money, and get a Taurus. They're just as accurate/reliable as the 3 manufactures you mentioned. Taurus used to have a bad reputation for poor quality control, until they bought a Beretta plant in Brazil, they kept the Q.C. from Beretta at the plant. In fact the Taurus PT 24/7 Pro won the NRA handgun of the year award and is now standard issue for Navy SEALS over the previous H & K USP .40.

    I haven't fired a Sig or a Beretta yet, but I'm planning a P226 9mm Blackwater edtition soon, and later on a P232 .380 SS model.

I'm kind of anti-glock. They're just too Hollywood. Too many wanna-be gangster rappers rap about them, they're lame guns, IMO. Can't go wrong with a Sig, from everything I've read about them.

  9. I have owned all three at some point and the SIG is by far the best pistol made. The Beretta is reliable but not very accurate and the Glocks simply cannot be accurate due to that horrible trigger.

  10. Make mine a Glock everytime.  All three are great guns but I just like the Glock because:  It is ultra-reliable, it is user friendly, it is accurate as the shooter, it is hi cap and Glocks are available in more diverse calibers than the other two AND in even more sizes (to fit every hand) than Sig or Beretta.  My favorite duty/defensive caliber for a pistol is the 10mm.  Sig and Beretta don't even chamber this round in their pistols.

    H

  11. I have carried all three on duty and would probably grab for the Glock in an emergency.

  12. As a duty weapon... I like a Berretta (.40SW). The basic engineering goes back to the 30's for this pistol. I like the fact it locks up without a toggle link

A bit heavy but easy to maintain and very reliable. It's frame and rails chew up dirt... mine has never malfunctioned. all I've shot have been accurate enough for the 7 yard line. The DA first shot takes some practice....and I like de-cockers.

A appereciate the Sig's... but they never did "it" for me. Expensive... but they get glowing endorsment from their fans.

Glock... just another black gun. If my department issued them I'd carry it...if I had a choice it would be something else. For departments with liability and training issues (or civilians who dont practice enough) its a good choice.

I'd shoot a Xd over a Glock.. but I am old and the grip safety etc dovetail with my 1911 past a bit better.

All are very good choices... for a weapon of this type all would have to pass these test for me.

Can it group all rounds on a paper place at 7 yards... Weaver stances...paced rapid fire?

Can if fire 500 rounds without a hiccup?

    Doest it fit my hand?

  13. Having carried several police issue Sigs over the past 20 years I can definitely say BUY A GLOCK!

  14. All three handguns are accurate, reliable, well built, and have history.

What it comes down to is personal preference. I personally like Beretta over Sig depending on the model. I do not like Glocks at all. I do not like the feel.

So listing them from best to worst not because they are bad to worst gun but because of personal preference would be:

    Springfield Armory XD

    Ruger

    Beretta

    Sig

  15. I've owned and shot a Glock 26 and a SIG P220.  I still have the Glock, traded off the SIG.  To be fair, the SIG was a police trade-in, so it had a LOT of wear and tear.  One rather crucial part ended up breaking(the trigger reset spring), and after the factory fixed it, I traded it for a Charles Daly High-Power just to be safe.

I'm not a big fan of Beretta, I think they are a little high-priced for what they have to offer.  Don't have any personal experience with them, though.

About the Glocks not being accurate, check out this link:

    http://www.gun-tests.com/issues/20_8/fea...

I have the hard copy of this issue of Gun Tests, in which the Glock 30SF beat the $1300 Kimber SIS, and the $1000 Springfield Loaded Ultra Compact in several accuracy tests.

People use them to compete with in IPSC matches all the time.

    Glocks are great,

    SIGS are too,

    You have to decide,

    Which is best for YOU!

  16. I like all three. I agree with the previous post about reliability and accuracy. I would add that I prefer my sig sauer when going with a concealed weapon. It just has a lighter, quicker feel for me.

  17. Glock, it is not being carried by so many law agencies around the world because they saw it on tv and thought it looked cool. it is a strong reliable and very accurate weapon. baretta got their big jump when the army was forced to choice it. the old .45 was a better gun but not double action or 9mm, what the libs in DC wanted so we would line up with NATO supply lines. Sig's are good weapons but the Glock has it beat for ease of use and safety. remember extra levers and buttons are not what you need when you draw your weapon, rounds on target are what counts. at 12 feet i can draw my glock 30 and put 5 .45 rounds where i aim and in a group that is easily covered by my palm. 12 feet is longer then most gun fights will ever happen and 5 .45 rounds should stop any thing i need to, also leaves 6 more shots which will move to the face if the chest is not working.
