Question:

Would you pull over a tie-die 2003 Saturn Ion?

I'd prefer to hear from people who actually ARE cops, preferably in Southern California.

I have an old car I want to paint up tie-dye style. I'm a Star Wars geek, so I want to paint "Tie-Fighter" on the doors.

Would you assume I was stoned, or had drugs in the car?

If not, would you pull me over anyway?

I just want to avoid the hassle. Not looking for crime advice or anything.

  1. nah, but you wouldnt be smart to do that. better off selling it before you make the mistake

  2. Not as long as you were driving correctly.........

  3. Only if it committed an offense to be pulled over for.  (Speeding, didn't stop at a stop sign, ran a red light).

Or had an equipment violation.  (No brake light, tag light out, headlight out).

  4. I'm not a cop, but.... as long as you weren't committing any moving violations, then they'd have no reason to pull you over. Are you planning to have long hair or dredlocks? That'd make you look like a stoner. Drive very safely & you'll avoid a lot of hassels regardless of the type/color of car you drive. Obey all traffic laws.

  5. I thought you meant, how would they report you on a felony or something, like on the transcript what would they put a checkmark on for color.

I am not a cop sorry. But speaking of California, g*y marriage is legal as of this week im pretty sure!!!

  6. probably not get pulled over,

but might get ripped off by another trekkie who can't afford the paint job

  7. With all the people they bust, what the car looks isn't the big concern.

You will be attracting a lot of attention, and as long as they're saying 'cool, lookit that!', you should be ok.

If they're saying 'someone with that recognizable car shouldn't drive like that', you're not ok!

    Have fun.
