Question:

Would you put this on a resume?

I am trying to find employment and I find it harder than what I expected. I was supposed to finish RN school and flunked after going to clinical with Satan's sister (my instructor). However, here I sit with 20 yrs of government experience and 9 yrs (part time) yrs of experience in clinical settings.

My question is, should I put down that I went to nursing school and completed three fourths of the nursing clinical or should I only put what my new major is at another school?

Also, are there any books or websites that are good for writing resumes. I cannot afford for a professional to write it right now.

Thank you

  1. If you can't afford a professional resume, try PremiereResume.com. It's cheap and it will guilde you through the resume process easily!

  2. I voted for Westmins answer.  Do not, do not, do not criticize or mention Satan's sister.  You do not want them to think that you can't work with anyone, ever.  Just tell them you left because you had to find a job or because of time constraints.  Don't say anything about changing your mind or wanting a new experience unless you can phrase it so they don't think you'll leave them shortly after being hired (couple of years).

  3. Include the education experience, yes, but at the bottom of the resume since your work experience is more valid and pertinent.
