Once I was in high school I went to with my choir class to sing Christmas carols to seniors at nursery homes. It was the most sad thing I saw I couldn't stop crying just to see the loneliness of this seniors. I just ask my self "if my mother wipe my butt and took care of me when I was a baby I would never think about putting her in a nursery home" I just can't believed there is so much ungrateful people in this world.

  1. well since i only have one parent as of 5 months ago i would not mut my mother in a nursing home if my life depended on it....the only reason they should be put in a nursing home is if no one is there or no one wants to take care of them and they literally cant live by themselves but otherwise ppl should step up and take of the ones they love

  2. never ever. my parents are thinking about moving back to their contry when there old. so what im gonna do is just help them and send them what they need and visit. but never a shelter or whatever thoses places are called.

  3. It is nursing home. If they require 24hour looking after then you may be forced to do it. It is not possible to have a life and look after an adult as caregiver 24 hours a day.

  4. if you cant take care of her and she needs help i would try for a good assested living place...but if i had to send her to a nursing home i would do research on them first and ask the CNA's how it is working there if they hate it then its prob. a bad one....normally they will tell you the truth...either way if you have to send her to one then visit often (on diffrent days...dont have a schedule unless you can come everyday) and ask alot of questions about her care....ive worked at alot of nursing homes...and there are some really good ones out there..and even though i took care of my people equally there were some bad CNA's who only 1/2 assed worked unless the persons family visited often so they wouldnt get in trouble

  5. h**l no... those places are prisons for old people

  6. When I was 13/14 years old, my grandmother started her first stages of Alzheimer. One night, she walked all night. So my mom, my sister and myself camped out by her bedroom so she wouldn't walk out of the house. Well we fell asleep, and sure enough, she walked out the house. We jumped up, and ran around the neighborhood looking for her. We found her, but knew next time wouldn't be so lucky. We put bolt lock on all the doors. This continues for almost five years. We couldn't afford help, so we did it. As a result, my mother lost her job, and my sister and I both dropped out of school. In order for us to get our life back together, we had to find a facility to put my grandmother in. So we did. And we are doing better. If we could afford help at home, we would. But life doesn't always work out like you plan.
