I'd much rather be awake and know what's going on around me.

  1. Pain dont hurt

  2. sedated every time

Had a few ops on my knee and had one once where I was awake.

Its horrible, didnt feel any pain but could feel myself being tugged around, and the smells and sounds of the ops are horrendous.

Maybe I just have an overactive imagination....

  3. Sedated

  4. Like the Ramones fan before me. Sedated is most likely the best way to go. You will be nervous and on edge so slow down and float a bit..

  5. Sedated! I've watched recently some surgery where docters had to do something one the brain and the boy was awake! Ok, he was awake because he had to speak while they were, because there was a possibilty to injure his centre for speech.. Anyway, it was prettu scared and i can imagine myself in some other situation where I don't have to be awake, but I want to say what's going around me... Ha, ha, No, no, i don't want that...

  6. Sedated!

  7. "I Wanna Be Sedated"!

  8. you want to be awoke even you are going to be cut into half  lenght wise? so it depends if it is a major or minor surgery.

  9. It depends on how long the wait is going to be.  If it is just a short wait, then awake is fine.  But long waiting times before surgery produce a lot of anxiety, so I would rather be sedated or have anti-anxiety medication for the wait.
