Would you rather be the hero and die, or the coward and live?

The one who chooses to live, facing life and its daily difficulties, is a hero.  

For me, being a hero and die, is only the case where someone The only hero I can think as a real hero, is the one  who  gives his life for to save others either in a battle or in dangerous situations.

He said there were very few gunfights at noon.  

He said evil gun-slinging @ssholes just had a habit of turning up dead with bullets in their backs.

So I'll cheer for the hero just like the next guy.   But I personally would not risk my life for public praise.  

I don't want a fanfare if it interferes with taking out the trash.

And if that makes me a coward,  it's a title I can live with.

I'd rather just be me. People can label me whatever they want, it doesn't bother me.

As for living or dying... everyone's time will come. We all have to die one day.

Hero and die.  I mean, the coward has got to die some day right?  The coward will live and die a coward.  I'll die a hero.

"I would rather live on my feet than die on my knees."  this is a great quote, but it does not refer to heroes and cowards.  the only true hero is one that is willing to make a stand for a belief and sometimes that does include death.  a coward is someone who is willing to roll over in the face of adversity or one who is not willing to stand against something they disagree with.  their are many people that are undeniable heroes and undeniable cowards, but in some cases a hero is viewed as a coward and a coward as a hero.  the only universal truth is that a true hero does not see himself or herself as a hero.  a true hero sees does not consider their sacrifice as a sacrifice, but as duty to what they believe in.
