Would you rather buy a rx8 or rsx type s?

Im trying to figure out which one I should buy. What would be the better deal in performance and all around?

I like RX8 but I would go type s cause gas aren't cheap, even though its hella fun and confort but price is the problem....

Rx8 has more little problems than RSX even they did add new 100,000mile warranty, its still anyoing...

RSX stop production in 06, so its cheaper...but mazda are doing year end sales...

for performance they are pretty much same. Even RX8 has 20-30? more horse power than RSX but rotary engine in rx8 has very weak torques. RSX has better response in my view.

its 200ish hp I think.

for future tuning there more way to make more power on RSX K20 engine than RX8. And less problem than tuned RX8.

handling: ones rear wheel, ones front wheel...you should know the rest.

There are some mechanical problems with the rx8, primarily the engine. It also likes burns both gas and motor oil very quickly.  Love the design, but reliability may be an issue.  Despite the great handling, the low-end torque just doesn't make the car feel fast. I've driven the RX8 before, those are one of the few reasons why I opted not to get it. Opt for the RSX Type-S instead.

I already own a 2002 RSX-S ...got it the week they came out in July 2001...

Haven't driven an RSX, but I can tell you about  the RX-8. It's  fast. Stock  it will do  150 m.p.h. (personal  experience) it's very smooth and  quiet. It's power range  is from 5000 to 8000r.p.m. Quick, light,  well balanced, cheap on insurance because  it's a  four  door.

Down sides. It gets  terrible  gas mileage even at  55 m.p.h. and  requires high octane gas 91  or  better. No traction in snow and  I mean even a little bit of snow, like a dusting. The  dealership will  tell  you it's the  tires. Yeah maybe,  but  Corvettes have high  performance tires and a  

Vette will get you home in an inch of  snow.

Personal choice if money  was  no object, RX-8. It has better  style and can get four people  around.
