  1. Around Christmas

  2. I got married on Christmas Day.  It was the best for us.

  3. Around Christmas!

  4. Both would be lovely. But I think Halloween would be more memorable.

  5. CHRISTMAS

  6. I wanted to  get married on Halloween and have a costume party!  I thought it would have been different and I am sure everyone would have had fun, but my fiancee wasn't going for it.

And if I didn't live in an area that could snow, I would have had it at Xmas time.  How beautiful could it be at XMas time.  I was afraid to schedule it and a huge snow storm would come and everything would have had to be cancelled

    good luck

  7. Neither one - Halloween is to me would be too 'comical' and may take away from the seriousness of the affair. On the other hand if you are going for 'fun and funky' then this is a perfect time. Make no mistake, even if you plan for 'classy and elegant' there are bound to be some guests who will make a mockery of it, just for fun.

Christmas is just to busy a time for everyone to fit in a wedding as well. Yes, it's a beautiful time of year and the decorations, blah, blah, but think of your wedding party and parents and the money they will be putting out for Christmas and then to throw a wedding in to the mix may create a hardship. Not to mention your guests trying to fit another function in to an already busy time season.

    Just my opinion.

  8. I love both honestly. I considered getting married around the end of October/beginning of November...but I'm in school...so that would allow no time for the honeymoon. So I decided on December 28th, 2008. I live in Mississippi, so that time of year has pretty much become our fall. The weather is great around that time. Both are great times to get married!

  9. neither. Both are cold months here in the hoosier state. I hate cold weather. I like spring time best. Not too hot, not too cold. I'm getting married the weekend after memorial day.

  10. Christmas! I'm technically getting married right between the two holidays in November 2009, our wedding is the 2nd last weekend of November; it will be a Christmas theme because it's my fiance and I's favourite holiday/time of year.

  11. Oh absolutely Halloween, I'd do a Tim Burton sort of thing, it'd be awesome.

  12. Christmas.  It's my favorite holiday.

And usually, Christmas brides save a ton of money on decorations  . . . . as their venues may already be decorated for the holidays.

  13. Christmas. It's just a lovely time of year :) I think people's moods are better too, haha.

  14. It depends on what is important to you. If price is a factor, get married around Halloween. There will be TONS of Christmas parties and finding a venue will be difficult. Halloween is a beautiful time of year for photography with the leaves changing colors. Christmas is a great time of year with the snow. I live in the mountains and the winters are beautiful. If you live in an area where it doesn't snow, then try Halloween because of the pricing.

  15. Halloween... actually thats really when i want to get married..

  16. Christmas, because I loooove the food, gift giving, decorations, movies, etc :)

  17. Halloween - - my wedding will be on Halloween 2009.

AND think of your guests.  Money is tight around holiday time and your wedding would be competing with oodles of holiday parties and get-togethers.  Also, alot of people travel to their families for the holidays and depending upon how close to Christmas the wedding is, they could have a conflict.

Halloween is alot of fun but not a "major" holiday where people travel home to see their loved ones - - it wouldn't be a huge deal if your cousin Vinny can't go to his buddy's annual Halloween party so he could attend your wedding.  Its not like you'd be possibly interfering with the annual dinner at Grandma's before Christmas or anything.

  18. Halloween! Fall colors are SO beautiful.

Christmas can be okay if you did more of a "Winter Wonderland" blue and silver thing, but I'd definitely go for Halloween. It's also easier for people (at least in my family) to get there around Halloween.

Plus, I do NOT want to share my wedding anniversary with Christmas or any other holiday or birthdays. Why would you s***w yourself out of gifts in the future like that? I want my own "Special Day" date.

  19. Halloween! just think of the possibilities of costumes and decorations!!

  20. Halloween!! That is what I am doing next year in Vegas!! Good Luck!

  21. Halloween but I'm a Goth so that's a given. Also, being that my wife recently left me, (breaking her vows and a promise I made to myself to never get divorced in the process) I highly doubt that I will ever marry ever again.

  22. Christmas---you have more "warm fuzzies"

  23. If I could get married ON Halloween, I would love it, but instead, we're getting married a few days after Christmas (Dec. 29 or 30th this year).  We could have married on Christmas, but two reasons not to - one, I am not Christian and really don't want that day as a wedding anniversary and two, my Mom lost 3 close relatives only days before Christmas last year including her brother on the 24th.   She normally loves the Christmas season, so hopefully all the decorations and planning to attend a wedding will help her on this upcoming holiday season.

While we originally planned on a late January wedding, we're going to save a fortune on decor as everything is already decorated in red, green and gold!  Most of his most important family members will already be here visiting for Christmas, so it is actually convenient.

  24. Christmas. I love the atmosphere that surrounds christmas and the decoration possibilities are endless.
