Would you rather give birth or adopt a child?

I would like to be there for the woman

that I marry someday give birth or

adopt a child together.

Because there's a lot of children

in this world without a family.

I want to adopt a little baby because 1: I'm scared of giving birth (I have major pain issues... lol) 2: You have a point, there are A LOT of kids in the world without a family and thats really sad.

It all denpend on if you can get pregnant or not. I had my second son 2 years ago and I had no means of varing for him so I gave him up for adoption. It was the best thing for him. The family that adopted him are great people. Either way you will love that little boy or girl just the same.

in my own opinion even though i can't have kids i would still adopt if it came down to it and the worst one there was with the most problems that nobody wants. because it's not the kids fault that it's in that situation no matter what the reason, no child deserves to feel and be UN wanted and there's enough kids in this world as it is so instead of making more with a bigger problem why not help the ones that are already here with the worst problem of all. NO HOME!!

I loved being pregnant and giving birth (twice).  If we could not get pregnant, my husband and I would probably have adopted an older child who truly needed a home.  I could not bear to take an infant away from his/her mother.  We are now busy grandparents who actively support an inner-city daycare center for low-income families and group home for teen mothers.  There are lots of ways to help children in need - adoption is just one way.  I wish that more people who are not in the position to adopt would consider helping in other ways.

I have always wanted to adopt but I think I would like to adopt a kid around 2-4 years old.  My fiance wants to have biological children, so I dunno what will actually happen, if either.

My main goal in this life is to have kids. I plan on having 4 kids of my own, if I can have any and then adopting 2. I have no problem with going through the whole 9 months of pregnancy or adopting, just being a mother is the best feeling in the world.

I have three "adopted" children and two "biological" children (soon to be three "biological"- I am pregnant). Both adoption and child birth are amazing experiences. I would recommend that anyone do both if they are able. I also should mention that I love all of my children the same. Each child is born with their own personality. I love something different about each of my children but I love them...by birth or adoption it is the same. Some of my children came to me as babies, others were older. All of them needed our family and I needed all of them. I truly believe that God hand picked all of them for us. My husband and I plan to adopt again as our family isn't quite complete yet.

I agree that there are many children in this world that need a family to love them. I hope that you are able to find a woman who shares your dreams about adoption and giving birth. You will have a beautiful family full of love!

either one. i have my own biological children and i'm an adoptee. if i couldn't have children i would adopt. when my hubby and i get more on our feet i would like to be a foster parent.

I think that probably all couples would prefer to bear their own children.  However, in many cases they just are not able to for medical and other reasons.

As for adoption, most people want a healthy white or asiatic child.  There just aren't enough of these to meet the demand at adoption facilities.  If you are willing to take a special needs child it becomes easier.

I recently attended a sort of picnic for foster children of our county given by a local church.  These children were in the age range of about 5 to 15 and all of them were healthy.  However, it seems no one wants an older child even though these kids were available.  One 14 year old girl even asked us to adopt her.

since i was very little, i always planned to do both. i would like to have a child via pregnancy, but i also think that there are so many children that need homes and stability and love. i can give those contributions and really change someone's life for the better. i don't think it has to be an either-or situation.

I wasn't sure I would be able to have kids...fertility problems run in my family, but I've had 2 kids without trying! I don't think I want anymore b/c I HATE being pregnant, but if I did want more I would DEFINITELY adopt.
