Would you rather go to Cuba, Dominican Republic or go on a Caribbean Cruise?

Going for a family vacation in November-December. We are having trouble deciding where to go.

Depending on who's passport you are carrying, I would chose Cuba.  Cruises are really a rip off since all those islands are inhabited by the same people and they all look alike.  Confined to the ship with a few hour shore leave does not appeal to me.

Cuba on the other hand is still to be discovered, however, USA citizens are not supposed to go there because of the embargo. . .but there are ways around it.

DR is poverty stricken and somewhat unsanitary with lots of beggars and scams to relieve you of money.

it depends on the cruise to the caribbean...how many islands are you going to? west, or eastern? (both are actually nice)

iv been to dominican republic, and punta cana, is GORGEOUS.

if you'd love to see more, id choose the caribbean.

if you want a one stop of relaxation, and beauty, dr.

but idk how cuba is...sorryyyy.

I don't know what cheap hotels you visited in the Dominican Republic but there some really good resort in DR. I was born and raised in NYC and there are beggar here too (just take a NYC subway). All I'm trying to say is that there are places and there are PLACES and it all depends on where you go.
