  1. Nope crank gas prices thorough the roof. It's the only way we can get off oil. I have been a conservative i the past and I still like The Conservatives on most issues but we need to get off of oil now.  Canada needs a new party. The Canadian Republic party to unite Canada and get away from the British commonwealth. Stricter penalties, fair wages, a clean environment, and some patriotism. Social conservatism the Canadian way.

  2. I'd rather find alternative sources of energy and pay more for gas.  Drilling offshore is only a short-term solution.

  3. First some facts, the USA uses 68% of the worlds oil (18 million barrel a day) for 1/25th of the world population.

    That is sick!

A Western European with higher standard of living uses less then 1/4 of the oil as his USA counter part.

    That is so sick!

If the US would just bring their technolgies up to date and stop building this old fashioned SUV's and Trucks, the world could be a much better and healthier place.

  4. How can the US possibly whine so much and have the gall to demand other countries to deliver more barrels per day when we won't even drill on our own bloody land? And America has more oil that the entire middle east down below and in coal shale. How preposterous is that rationale?

Here's the real deal -  yea it's good to go green and use corn for fuel and such. But doing this has driven up the cost of ALL food. Presently, 25% of American's corn crop is designated to fuel and most of that was lost in the midewest flooding. Next year is is supposed to be 50%.

It's good to go green and all but who cares if we are starving?

  5. Cheaper gas prices.  Independent.  Pollution needs to be dampened but it is secondary to the good life.  Good to drill for oil because there are no viable alternates in the near term and importing oil is more expensive and makes the US a greater risk for black mail.  More domestic oil is needed to fill the gap until fuel cell technology has been made feasible.

  6. I'd rather have cheaper gas prices.

I don't support any political party.

  7. Cheaper gas wins. It's stupid NOT to drill for our own oil and high time we did again. I, for one, am tired of hearing about the environment, carbon footprints, and all the other garbage. Give me industrialization, jobs, and cheap cost of living.

Environment doesn't pay bills and so many laws that favor the environment over development  is why America is in such bad economic shape.

  8. I think drilling for oil is a bad idea. Global warming has gotten to the point where we must find alternate energy sources. Even the G8 has set 2050 as a date to reduce

emissions by half, and environmentalists are saying that's not

enough. Everybody around the world, not just the U.S.,needs

to work on reducing pollution, regardless of political affiliation.

  9. I would rather we don't drill in America. What we need to do is use alternative energy. The environment to me is the most important thing. While the people are making the environment poor, it is making the people poor. Drilling in the U.S. would mean more of the same sources of energy and more of the same environmental problems. If it did give any relief to the prices at the pump, drilling here would not give relief to the environment. The gas prices will only make a return to what they were, because without alternatives any other solution will only give temporary relief. And we'll be only putting off the inevitable reality: We need to use alternatives not just because fossil fuels are bad for the environment, but also because they are running out. Let's deal with the problem now. That's why I'm supporting Barack Obama and the Democratic Party.

  10. Cheaper gas please.

Find a way to make cheaper, cleaner, and more efficient autos that run on something else and I will buy one.

Artificially jacking up the price of fuel will cause everything to increase in price. Just read about the 1970's oil crisis and the inflationary effects. Eventually everything evens off and people return to SUV like driving habits.

Examples: wages were $2.00 per hour for a job that now pays $20.00 per hour.

    A coke was 15 cents. Now it's a dollar.

Interest rates went above 20% eventually collapsing the stock market.

    Strikes.

    Price freezes.

I usually vote for the Conservative Party.

NDP supporters run rabbits and howl at the moon.

Liberals tried to nationalize Canada's oil industry during the last oil crisis: petrocan was the result and the national energy program screwed my budding career. So can't vote Liberal.

Oil is good for my car. I use other oil base products: plastic, paint, tar, coffee whitener, etc. Drill for oil you oil using hypocrite.
