but with the super power you would be like a "spiderman" type where you were always ekeing by and maybe become at best make a decent living to support a family and put enough money away to retire...

Superpower of course. Mine would be the ability to control gravity with my mind. With a superpower such as this I could simply "think" coal into becoming diamonds. Who says you couldn't make an honest living with a superpower. Your rules didn't state if anyone would be aware of what one could do with their superpower and still remain like any normal human.
