I'd rather surf in Iraq than do anything in the snow. I live in SoCal, 200 yards from the beach and I only surf when the water temp is above 60. I love surfing in Puerto Rico cause it's warm and clean and clear.Not like here.

California any day.  Depending where you live you're just hours away from either surf or snow during the winter.  Friends of mine surf year round and have their season lift ticket passes during the winter.  Granted you can't snowboard here year round but, to have balance is good.

Grew up in Huntington Beach, CA untill last year, im 21 now. I now live in Castle Rock, CO. I love surfing and snowboarding. But if i had my choice i would have stayed in Huntington all year except Winter. Winter i would def be up in Breckenridge or at Keystone. Ahhhhh i miss the beach though.

I would rather live in Banff and snowboard, but If I HAD to live in the US it would be Colorado hands down.

Grew up in Encinitas, CA and love surfing. I love snowboarding too, but there's something about being in the water and working with the terrain that makes surfing so special. It's the only sport with moving terrain really.

Surfing gets my vote.
