  1. I would rather teach social studies and teach history and here is why;

    1. I would like to teach students the importance of the leaders of the past and how they have influenced American society today.

    2. I would like to teach students how technologies of the past are influential in the present.

    3. I would like to teach how landmarks of the past helped shaped the society we live in the present.


  2. Social studies because you can include foreign language in the curriculum.  You also reach a larger number of students.

  3. Social Studies! This is a chance to teach cultures, history, geopgraphy, and so much more. Teaching foreign language limits you to that area and culture. I like teaching the big picture.

  4. Although I can speak fluent French, I would like to teach Social Studies. Out of the two, it interest me more.

    I already teach Chemistry and Physics at the local high school.

Well, Im a third grade teacher so as part of the 3rd grade curriculum there is once a week when I have to teach a social studies lesson and they have specialists that come in to teach foregin language. I love teaching social studies because I think it is very interesting and the kids enjoy to.

  8. I like the variety of teaching many topics... Social Studies provides me with that opportunity.  Plus, to be honest, I just wouldn't do very well teaching a foreign language... my best Spanish is probably something like tacos, burritoes, and flan.
