  1. i would rather watch the 1st few moments of a supernova. i think it Wuld be cool to see the explosion and the brightness of the colors.

  2. Assuming that I somehow have some sort of protective environment that would let me do this without being destroyed...

    Supernova!

Although it depends on what you mean by the first few moments.

If you look at the light curves for supernova - the brightening isn't instant

Likewise for a star - it takes quite a bit of time for the newly created photons from the core nuclear reaction to reach the surface of a star.

  3. Personally, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near them! The solar winds would wipe out everything in a 6000 light year path!

  4. the supernova.

  5. Supernova, but not too closely.

  6.   The ignition of a star,it might be survivable.

  7. The supernova would likely blow you away because it is an implosion followed by a massive explosion.  It takes perhaps a century for the energy and light generated at the center of our sun by fusion of hydrogen into helium to reach the surface and shine.  That should arrive gradually for an igniting star and the heat might be welcome (for a while?).

  8. most def a supernova

thats probaly the most beautiful and fascinating thing there is to see
