Would you read a story that had a summary like this.

What do you get when your a girl from a broken family saved by a mysterious beauty. You get many vanishing people and a longing to be reunited with your father.

What you don't know you get is a man following you and not leaving your dreams alone.

Jamie Peddle is a girl from a broken family who is trying to make her life normal for once. Trying to fix it but also making the world disappear before her.

The Vanishing.

  1. Maybe. The summary isn't very detailed so its kinda hard to tell. When I read such a tiny summary like that I usually look at the cover to decide weather I read it or not, even though there's that whole don't judge a book by its cover thing.

  2. Yeah, depending on the cover. I can imagine a girl walking into a "tunnel" of trees with mist around her, and her looking over her shoulder.

    Instead of putting:

What do you get when your a girl from a broken family saved by a mysterious beauty. You get many vanishing people and a longing to be reunited with your father.

What you don't know you get is a man following you and not leaving your dreams alone.

Jamie Peddle is a girl from a broken family who is trying to make her life normal for once. Trying to fix it but also making the world disappear before her.

    The Vanishing.

    Put:

You are a girl from a broken family. Feeling dead and alive, you  drag yourself anxiously through the days. One day, you are saved by a mysterious beauty that captures everything you beleive in and twists it into a contorted shape you are not familiar with. But people are dissapearing, and your town/city is falling apart. Suddenly, you want to see your father again.

What you don't know is that you are being followed by a man lurking in the shadows and not leaving your dreams alone.

Jamie Peddle is in such a situation. Jamie is trying to make her life normal for once, but making damages that cannot be undone. Jamie is making the world dissappear before her very eyes.

    The Vanishing.

    I hope i helped.

    This took me forever!

I tried to make it a little more "deep".

    Best answer?

    Please?

  3. I'd read it.... maybe.... The first few pages are what I look at to see if I want to keep reading or not... (um, check your grammar too...)

  4. It has an interesting plot, and

    the suspense would keep me

    reading.

    However, It needs editing.

    Keep writing.

  5. It sounds really interesting. I just don't think it would capture MY attention, but I'm sure there are a ton of other people who would read it.

  6. The summary really didn't tell me much. What do you mean saved by a mysterious beauty? It looks okay, but its not a read-it-or-i'll-die-book.

Also the last line "Trying to fix it but also making the world disappear before her" doesn't really make any sense.

    Why not start off with

"Jamie Peddle is a girl from a broken family, who is for once trying to make her life normal. She longs to be reunited with her father, and is trying relentlessly to get away from a man who won't leave her or her dreams alone."

then add a little more to that.

you need more information than that.

try to make your sentences have bigger words, and check your grammar. read over it a couple of times.

email me when you fix it.

i'm interested to see what you come up with.

  7. i wouldnt grabbed and buy it.

id read the first chapter at the store and if i like it then read it. but it'd porbably catch my attention

  8. Don't listen to the people criticizing you it sounds really interesting:)

good luck and I hope I get to read it some time :)

  9. I doubt I would read a book that has such mistakes in the summary of it.

    Edit:

The edited summary sounds a 100 times better and more interesting.

  10. i SUCK at writing blurbs...but this one sounds a bit convoluted.

WHY would i get a "longing to be reunited with [my] father"?

i'd stress the disappearing people and the broken family...and "a man following you and not leaving your dreams alone" might work better as: a STALKER who turns dreams into nightmares---but that's only a suggestion since i don't know what the book is about.

  11. Wow...one word?

    BREATHTAKING.

it sounds in my head like one of those suspense filled totally horror deprived films.Add a dash of romance and I'm all for it!

    Hah!

  12. I would read it if it wasn't written by you, because no offense but I can tell you dont have a clue about grammar
