PLEASE DONT ANSWER UNTIL I VE POSTED THE WHOLE SUMMARY

title: collarbones

summary: zara, who goes by reesie has been thrown from foster home to foster home throughout her short life. as her name would suggest, her one comfort is reesie's peanut butter cups. as reesie grows, she gains a lot of weight. shortly before her 13th birthday, she is kicked out of the foster home she has been in for 3 years. her new school is dreadful and everyone mocks her for being so fat. reesie becomes suicidal, but no one notices or cares. she stops eating so many peanut butter cups. one night as she is changing, she notices she can begin to see her collarbones.

suddenly, reesie is transformed. she goes back to the name zara and keeps losing weight. she still cannot see her collarbones completely, so she stops eating. finally, she is able to see her collarbones completely, poking out of her skin. but it doesn't come without a price. she has gotten so ill. her foster parents send her to a special hospital (continued)

  1. I don't know that I would post a summary like that on here because if you plan to sell it, everyone already knows the plot and now you have given it away for free. Have a couple of friends read it instead.

    I think it has possiblities.

I think you should read a book on writing. I am not telling you this to hurt you,but to help you. I bought a book called "Getting into character" by Brandilyn Collins. I believe it will help you a lot. I am reading it myself.

  2. I like it. I would definately read it. But I don't understand why they would just start throwing rocks at the man. It seemed random and immature. I mean if Tana threw one rock I could understand and see it as a symbol of some sort. A single rock thrown by the victim seems to have more meaning. I liked it though. Don't listen to anything I said up there if you are content with what you wrote. Don't go by one persons opinion or several peoples.

  3. It sounds like White Oleander and She's Come Undone. Both lovely books. I like your synopsis. Keep it original, sister.

  4. sure, i'd read it.  it sounds like it'd be in the Young Adults section.

  5. sounds ok, the only thing i can say, tho, is to be careful with the Reese cups reference. If they are linked to her cause of weight gain, even in the slightest sense, the candy company can (and probably will) sue you for the negative light you cast on their product. this can be a sticky issue and can cause you tons of trouble. so be careful.
