well you see romeo and juliet had a real passion for each so when one assumed the other was dead they felt that their life would be nothing with out that person. i would also personally just cope with it.

You know, I once heard from a prof that Shakespeare intended that to be a comedy, not a tragedy. Like, "ha, look at those idiot teenagers!" and it turned into a tragedy. But I've always raised my eyebrows at the two of them... it's such an over-the-top response to kill yourself... I get how someone could end up there, but it kind of pisses me off. I don't feel for the characters at all.

I don't know I have never loved anyone that way. At least no that much. Becasue in my life people don't even want me alive so why would I die for them.

Well, with Romeo and Juliet you could almost say that their love was an obsession.  Firstly, their characters are about 13-14 years old.  That's how it worked back then.  They were incredibly hormonal teenagers.  It was a very extreme reaction to the whole thing.  Understandable angst and sadness at the news of the other's death, but still, extreme.

So, if my wife died, I would definitely feel as though a giant part of me was dead as well, but I also know that my wife would want me to live and be happy.  I'm sure there would be a lot of times where I wouldn't want to go on without her, but because I know the type of person she is and the type of person that she loved me for being, I wouldn't be that person if I killed myself to "follow her".  I'd meet her again eventually.

No...i wouldn't            ....you can always (it takes a while) get over a      ...I'm right now trying to get over a loved ones       but they weren't like family i did love the person but I'm not going to             for it!
