  1. DEFINATELY NOT MR.

  2. You do know 95% of his writing is very vulgar and gory. But nowadays its really nothing new.

Steven King was everything to me growing up.

I guess here would be my suggestions.....

    Pet Sematary

    Misery

The girl who loved Tom Gordon

    Carrie maybe...

They are all lot to long so the kid won't be reading it forever.

    Not much sexual stuff.

SORRY..... I read your question wrong.

No, I really wouldn't suggest it.

    very sexual

    Very violent

    Very long( over 1000 pages

  3. It's not a question of It being spooky. In fact, the book really isn't that scary. Even the violence isn't that bad compared to what we watch on TV most everyday these days. The problem would come from certain scenes in the book which depict the sexual exploration of children by each other. If you've no problems answering a few questions about these types of scenes then go for it. The 12 year old will probably get bored with the massive book long before then.

  4. I wouldn't recommend It for a 12 year old.  The book is of course dark and scary but it is also very long and convoluted.

Better King books for a 12 year old

    'Salem's Lot

    The Eyes of the Dragon

    Different Seasons

    The Shinning

    The Talisman

    Dark Tower Series

  5. it might scare the c**p out of the 12 year old.

  6. if he or she is still capable of having nightmares, it would'nt be the best book to read, there are other authors who also write in the same genre, but stephen king is...well...stephen king. you know?

but then again, im not for book censorship. but if i had a kid, id suggest something different. if you can handle the movie, then by all means, read the book.

  7. If you can handle it, yes. He is often times rather wordy and uses vulgar language. I'm not complaining, but his works are not meant for everybody. At such a young age, you might not finish it to be honest.

  8. No...too spooky!

  9. No not that one.  Its not a very nice book!  I love Stephen King's books but I would wait awhile to read them.
