Would you recommend Space Mountain at Disney World as a good first roller coaster for people?

It is not actually a true roller coaster.  It doesn't have a steep drop at the top, and it is in the dark with lights and music.  I like it, and I hate real roller coasters.  I don't like that sharp drop on them.  I also don't like to go upside down, like the new coasters do.

It is an exciting ride and goes very fast, so it would be a good intro to fast rides, at least.

No.  It isn't a major roller coaster but it is a lot of fun especially since it is in the dark but I think it is scary for someone who has never ridden a roller coaster before.

personally i would go for the rockin roller coaster !!!!

No.  You need to see the sky to feel like you are really on a roller coaster.  Space Mtn is pretty mild for anyone who wants to have a real ride of roller coaster.

yes and no. There are no flips and several small sudden drops and twists - It has no huge hills. However, it is in the complete dark. You can almost see the track if you are in the very front seat. So, if the person is not afraid of the dark and/or you are willing to wait for the front seat (which should not be a very long wait no matter what time) I would recommend it.
