  1. Packard Bell stopped manufacturing it's PC's in the US in 2000.  This was mainly due to a drop in demand as consumers purchased the slightly more expensive but much more reliable Gateway and HP computers.  Packard Bell gained a reputation for using third-rate components in order to undercut the other manufacturers on price, which in the end ruined their integrity as a manufacturer of US computers.  They are now owned by ACER computers.  I was not aware that they were marketing towers.  I would be VERY wary of purchasing any computer that would dare to use the name of Packard Bell.

  3. both of my PC's have been packard bell~the first died of old age and overwork .the one i am using now is sound .it as the latest specs and vista.so far A.O.K
