Which Newcastle? I'm assuming you mean the one in the UK.Would depend on the locality.probably you'd need the be near CBD. Obviously you can operate a restaurant if you aim at particular clientele and can offer a menu that is'nt already there.Or specialise in just plain good food.

Sabortini's is a nice italian restaurant on the quayside, its close to the centre, reasonably priced n has a nice atmosphere. I spotted a newcastle united player in it a few years ago too!

Try the gate as well, its a big glass building with a cinema and a few restaurants in it.

Newcastle has a really good nightlife so finding a decent restaurant wont be very difficult if u wander around the quayside or dene street leading up to the monument.
